Join us for a learning journey into gynecology with our ESEG Advanced Principles Course! Over two enriching days, you'll delve into the latest advancements and techniques in the field, guided by esteemed experts and faculty members. Clinical users in operative gynecology and gynecological oncology will benefit from the event.
On the frist day, we will explore the technical basics of vessel sealing, providing a solid foundation for subsequent discussions. Attendees will delve into advanced minimally invasive techniques in gynecology, explicitly focusing on laparoscopic hysterectomy and myomectomy and examining their clinical advantages and outcomes.
Sessions on containment systems for intraperitoneal morcellation and technical innovations enhancing bipolar vessel sealing will follow, highlighting the importance of safety and efficiency in gynecological procedures. The role of laparoscopy in the treatment of ovarian cancer will be thoroughly examined, shedding light on the latest advancements in this field. Participants will have the opportunity to use electrosurgery devices during the wet-lab session, preparing them for hands-on experiences later in the course. The day will conclude with exploring endoscopic lymphadenectomy and sentinel lymph biopsy in gynecologic oncology, providing insights into outcomes and current evidence in this critical area. As the first day draws to a close, attendees will engage in a round table discussion over dinner, fostering networking opportunities and informal knowledge exchange.
On the second day of the course, participants will be introduced to the anatomy of the goat and engage in a pre-session with a laparoscopic simulator, which will provide hands-on experience and enhance their anatomical understanding.
Following this educational session, attendees will witness a demonstration of the bipolar vessel sealing system in the wet-lab, where they will have the opportunity for hands-on training in small groups. This practical component of the course will allow participants to apply their theoretical knowledge in a simulated clinical setting. A summary and discussion session will provide an opportunity to reflect on key learnings, ask questions, and engage in further dialogue.
